Yes, we all survived our Wards Pioneer Trek. It was such a wonderful experience to go on. It was unique in the fact that whole families went, not just youth; which is a very rare occurrence. Nathan was in heaven the whole time. He loves hiking and camping and both of those activities where in rich supply. Julie is not a big camper but really enjoyed the experience. I didn’t think that Brennan was going to get his nap for three days, however the rhythm of being pushed in a handcart over rocks, sagebrush and holes seemed to do its trick to putting him to sleep each day around his nap. The first night was rough; Brennan woke up half a dozen times screaming uncontrollably and wanting his bear and blanket (which was outside the tent somewhere in the dark). The second night went a lot better, mainly because we had his bear and blanket and he was more worn out. We made a Blog site especially for the trek so people could enjoy pics and stories. Feel free to check it out as well. It is www.OrchardHillsWard.blogspot.com . I will post more detail later. I have to go put some band aids on some blisters J.
